New DVD Review
Eddie's Story
Fans have spent the better part of the week remembering Eddie Guerrero. Our memorials are tinged with sadness, upon Eddie's sudden and unexpected death. But a little over a year ago, WWE itself put together a DVD set exploring Eddie's life and career, and it was more a celebration upon Eddie's first WWE World Title win. "Cheating Death, Stealing Life" remains an uplifting tale of Eddie's unlikely rise to the top of the wrestling world... but viewed through the filter of this week's events, there are unsettling bits of foreshadowing, including an eerily prophetic vision from Dean Malenko. The Canadian Bulldog takes a fresh look at the WWE DVD version of Eddie's Story in this ItR Video Review.

So is it basically the UPN special, plus matches? Or is there a lot more interviews than were originally aired on the TV show?
I watched the special, and liked it. I'd considering buying the DVD just to have some old Eddie matches around for when RAW's main-event inevitably ends up being Chris Masters vs a man in a bear suit and I need to remember what "wrestling" means.
It's exactly the UPN special with the matches and interviews tacked on as extras.
As far as the matches go -- yeah, I'd say its a pretty good collection to have, and much moreso given recent events. I really dug a few of the matches, though, watching them again this week -- against Brock (which I'd actually bought the No Way Out for just that one match); the Mysterio one and the three-way tag match from Survivor Series.
Better than your average Raw, for sure....
