VEGAS!!!
Yes! I am so excited -- just booked my first trip to Las Vegas in a good seven years (and, if you want to technical about it, my second time there ever). Looking really forward to this now - headed there next month for four nights at the Treasure Island. If anyone has any suggestions about what to see, do, experience there, lemme know...

Really, that depends on what you're into, and while I "know" you, I don't really *know* you, you know?
I've been to Vegas six times, I think, all spread out over the last ten years, and every time I was there, there was something new and cool that I'd never seen before.
Some things I do every time:
-You owe it to yourself to take a trip up to the top of the Stratusphere or the Eifel Tower at the Paris, the Paris is a bit smaller, but it offers a better view of the strip. Especially if you go at night, you'll get a nice visual treat as you take in the city.
-If you're feeling swanky, take a trip through the Forum at Cesars or take a run over to The Palms and feel like a celebrity for a brief moment. Palms is kind of a dump if it weren't for it's "celebutant" status, but the Forums is cool (and everything is expensive!)
-I don't really go in for the shows, but there are a ton of pretty good live bands that play the casino circuts every night both on the strip and downtown, and they're cheap as free.
-Since you're at Treasure Island, you probably should go see the Pirate Ship Show at least once. I just hope they don't cancel it on you like they did me.
-If you enjoy Star Trek at all, Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton, is kind of a trip. It's a bit pricey ($50 for a ticket), but the ticket is good for both shows, and you can use it all day. The food isn't half bad there either.
-The loosest Slot in Vegas in June was Star Wars, but it might not be that way anymore.
-The strip clubs aren't too bad and they're everywhere. Another pricey trip, though, obviously.
-Schedule yourself a day and a half just to walk up and down the strip. It really is a fantastic piece of work and it's had a complete overhaul in the past few years. It's just amazing how much they've changed (and how my favorite hotel is STILL the Luxor).
-Fancy dining is really fun. Again, budget quite a bit for food unless you're comfortable eating McDonalds or budget buffets every day. Not that the buffets are anything to sneeze at. Bellagio is a really fucking expensive dressy affair, but their food is really REALLY good, and the waitstaff treats you like a billion dollars.
-Alternatively, if you like a bit more sizzle to your steak (or chicken as the case may be) there isn't a more fun meal to be had in Vegas than the King's Banquet at the Excalibur. It's all hands eating while they perform a jousting show in the middle of the dining arena. Last time we were there, they were fully booked for the weekend, though, so you might want to check into it now if it interests you.
-Eat at the Las Vegas Blueberry Hill once for me, since I LOVE that place, but haven't gotten to go in the past two trips.
-Let yourself get sucked in by the gimmickery. Vegas really is about just throwing everything to the wind, just don't lose everything.
-MGM's Lion Cage is worth seeing, and it takes almost no time to walk by.
-Unless you're dying to see the Freemont Street Experience (which depends on your opinion of laser light shows), you might not bother with downtown unless you've got a ton of free time. It's very...old Vegas, which is kind of cool, but if you've ever stayed downtown (and I have a few times), you can't really wait to get out of there and go somewhere interesting.
-The locals are, on a whole, awesome people.
I've actually got a CRAP LOAD of stuff that I would suggest to do and see there, having become something of an "entertainment expert" in Vegas after not being able to gamble there for the first five times I went. If you're interested in more, hit up my e-mail.

I am honestly disappointed in you.

Dude - you must be used to disappointment by now...
