The Boss Is Back

Hey, everyone -- what's up? Just got back from the double vacation to Vegas and Buffalo. Had a blast at both; I'll have lots to share in the next little while, but I'm currently negotiating to see whether I'll make it to Armageddon tonight (not overly excited about it, so may just give it a pass), but perhaps another time. And some of my Vegas thoughts can be found right here as part of the OO Armageddon Preview.

But before I go, wanted to remind everyone to check out Johnny ITR's substitute column from earlier this week: well played, sir.

Okay, that's it. Later...

Having never been anywhere near Las Vegas, your commentary was very insightful.

Now were the hooker trading cards being handed out randomly...or just to people who looked desperate for lovin'? (Hence, your enormous collection).

And secondly, I've heard that Howie Mandel no longer does the "surgical glove on the head" gag. Without that, or Boston Pizza coupons, I'm not sure what he has to offer. Does he do straight stand-up? Use props? Show more of those horrible "hidden camera" gags he does for Regis Philbin?

Hey there.... no, the hooker cards were given out to EVERY male, (and some females, too), regardless if you were, say, 6 years old, obviously married, retired, a cop, etc.

There are literally four or five people handing them out at any given street corner, and they will flick their stack of cards to get your attention (it makes a distinct thwuppppp sound) and then before you know it, you have six or seven new ladies of the night cards in your hands.

But enough about "Hooker cards" -- trust me, Vegas is something everyone should experience just once, even if that does taint things a bit.

The Howie Mandel show was mainly stand-up, though he did have some "hidden camera" stuff, which I personally found hilarious. Maybe its different than the stuff you mentioned, not sure.
